Collette Whicker's Caramel Recipe
from the Lion House Cookbook
1 cup butter (margarine works just fine)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 dash salt
Combine ingredients in a heavy pan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly with wooden spoon. Keep at rolling boil until soft ball forms in cold water (about 15 minutes). Pour into buttered 9 x 13 pan. Cool completely then cut into pieces and wrap in wax paper. Makes about 70 to 80 pieces.

I found you on Meals4Moms....I love a soft caramel and these look like they fit the bill. I'm definitely going to exercise my candy making muscles! Thanks for the recipe~
