Want to Run a Half Marathon This October?

We are rounding up a group of friends to run the Provo Halloween Half Marathon on October 29, 2011. It is a mostly downhill race; costumes are welcome, and it looks like a lot of fun!

Visit www.halloweenhalf.com for information and to register (it's $45). Not sure how quickly registration fills up, but you may want to register soon just in case.

Below is a 12 week beginning runner training program from halfmarathons.net. It is designed for runners who can already run 10 to 15 miles per week comfortably.

Hopefully, some of us can coordinate and train together for some of this--especially the long Saturday runs!

For this race, Week One, Day One would be August 7th.

For those who will be following the training schedule distributed by Allyn, you should be well prepared for this race as well--the schedules are very similar. This one does not contain the cross-training and speedwork that hers does, but either works!
