Last Sunday we spotlighted Karren Newton. She moved back to Mona recently and so is new to our ward.
Karren loves purple, and she has heard it is the Savior's favorite color. She likes to read and work with flowers in her spare time. Her favorite pig-out food is chocolate.
One quality she likes about herself is that she always tries to be friendly. Something cool that not many people know about Karren is that she was the first president of the school board here.
Her favorite hymn is no. 86, "How Great Thou Art." This was the hymn sung at her mother's and her daughter's funeral, and she wants it to be sung at hers, also.
